Fetter Health Care Network Signs Lease with Chicora Life Center

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC — Chicora Life Center, the redeveloped property of the historic old Naval Hospital, today announced that the Fetter Health Care Network has signed a lease for office space in the property.

“Fetter provides quality health care to so many citizens through the Charleston community, and we are pleased to have them as part of the Chicora Life Center,” said Doug Durbano, manager of Chicora Life Center. “Along with our anchor tenant, the County of Charleston, Fetter Health Care Network furthers our mission of being a vital social service hub for the local community.”

The Fetter Health Care Network, formerly known as the Franklin C. Fetter Family Health Center, inc. is a private non-profit corporation that was chartered in the State of South Carolina in 1975.  Community leaders including Dr. Franklin C. Fetter the Dean of Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina founded Fetter as part of a demonstration grant under the Medical University in 1968.

Today Fetter Health Care Network has eight different sites, a Home Health Program and Pharmacy locations servicing residents throughout Berkley, Charleston, Colleton, and Dorchester Counties.

The Chicora Life Center is a $20 million-plus privately invested redevelopment of the old Naval Hospital property in North Charleston, SC. The Center will serve as a social services hub, featuring myriad social, government, non-profit and care facilities – all in one building conveniently located in the heart of Charleston County.
